Hi there! Welcome to my blog!
I’m Ciara, (pronounced Keer-a), thanks for stopping by my blog! I’m a primary school teacher from Ireland who has been obsessed with travelling the globe for as long as I can remember. I think my passion for travelling grew when I was a kid reading stories about far away places and magical lands. It was fueled further when I went on a J1 (a short term working visa in the U.S and Canada) when I was 21 and I haven’t stopped since.
Why A View Outside?
The name of my blog is a symbolism of both my love of travel and my battle with mental health. I’ve suffered with anxiety most of my life and while it is now manageable, it hasn’t always been that way. Through counselling and talking to others, I realised that so many of us are often battling issues inside ourselves while also trying our very best to portray that everything is okay on the outside. This can be isolating, lonely and quite often hard to deal with.
I want to use my blog to help people realise that feeling this way is perfectly normal, that it is still possible to do the things you want to do in life and that travelling whether it be solo, a weekend away, or moving your whole life abroad is an achievable goal. If I can do it, anyone can. Trust me.
WHERE I’VE BEEN

WHERE I\'VE BEEN
My Travel Style
I’ve been trying to see as much of the world since my very early twenties. I’ve backpacked through Europe and South-East Asia, spent a summer working in a bagel place in America, taught English in Korea and upon graduating as a primary school teacher, I moved to Tokyo and taught at an International school for a few years.
I now live back in Dublin, Ireland, using all of my holidays to travel to places that are on my never-ending bucket list. I like to do things on a budget but i’m a bit fussier now than I was in my twenties. I love researching and organising trips and I love helping others with their itineraries too. If you any need help/advice, please drop me an email.
Most of my travels have been as a solo female backpacker but now my other half tags along. He is as obsessed with travel as much as I am and we’ve an epic adventure coming up. I cannot wait to share the details.
